Artist Statement:
Annemarie is a visual artist living and working in the Dublin 7 area. Her exhibitions include ‘Yawn’, a group show in The Complex, Smithfield, and ‘Wait’ a solo show, housed in a vacant butcher’s shop on Benburb Street, addressing reproductive rights for women.
The piece included in this show is ‘Hostage’ . It is a direct response to maternity care in Ireland.
Annemarie is an experienced curator and is responsible for the visual art programming for The Complex Arts Organisation.
